Last week, we started moving C’s stuff down to his NEW bedroom! It’s going to be a great space for him as he’s growing up. C’s been pretty excited for the extra square footage if not a little bit wary of sleeping in his new room, but he’s definitely ready for the change. We’ve got all his furniture moved in (including a new captain’s bed), now it’s just getting the rest of his junk precious possessions put in their place. For now, C’s room is doesn't have a door, just curtains, but soon enough we’ll be putting in a door (anyone know how to put in a door?) and the space will be truly finished.
Just the other day (while missing out on Vacation Bible School due to pink eye) C said, “This is a big day...I get to sleep in my new room!” And sleep in his new room he did!
The goodnight was smooth as could be with the help of some strategically placed LED nightlights and some reassurance that we were nearby.
I know many of you are anxiously awaiting pictures of the nursery, but you’ll have to wait just a bit longer. For now, I’ll leave you with a little teaser...
